Pharmaceutical company acquires former Siemens Healthineers facility in Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Garonit Pharmaceutical has acquired the former Siemens Healthineers manufacturing facility in the Flanders section of Mount Olive as part of an expansion of its U.S. manufacturing operations.

The facility includes more than 320,000 square feet on approximately 32 acres and will serve as a major hub for manufacturing and production operations in the United States.

Garonit Pharmaceutical plans to invest more than $200 million into the site over the next five years and said the project could create up to 1,000 jobs in manufacturing, engineering, quality control and administrative positions.

The facility will support future finished dosage manufacturing and expanded active pharmaceutical ingredient production capacity aimed at strengthening supply chain resilience.

Township officials welcomed the investment and its potential economic impact on the community.

“The Township is pleased to officially welcome Garonit Pharmaceutical which will strengthen our local economy, create job opportunities for residents, and contribute to the continued vitality of our community,” Mount Olive officials said in a statement. “The Township appreciates their investment and looks forward to their success for many years to come. The decision to locate in Mount Olive is a strong reflection of the Township’s economic attractiveness, strategic location, and overall quality of life. Their commitment to Mount Olive demonstrates confidence in our community.”

Garonit Pharmaceutical described the acquisition as part of its broader strategy to expand domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities.

“This acquisition represents a major step forward in our mission to build a robust U.S.-based pharmaceutical manufacturing platform,” said Nitin Garg and Rohit Garg, shareholders of Garonit Pharmaceutical. “This investment expands our operational footprint while reinforcing our commitment to domestic manufacturing, supply chain reliability, and long-term growth.”

The company said the Flanders facility will support end-to-end manufacturing capabilities, including pharmaceutical intermediates, active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage products, with a focus on infection prevention and pharmaceutical antiseptic products.
