Phillipsburg junior police academy Class 008 graduates after week of growth, challenge
PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (Warren County) — The Phillipsburg Police Department celebrated the graduation of Class 008 from its 2025 Junior Police Academy on June 20, recognizing a group of cadets who embraced the challenges and responsibilities of the program.
Throughout the week, cadets showed determination and resilience, attending each day despite hot, wet, and difficult conditions. “There was sweat and there were tears, but thankfully, no blood,” the department noted in a statement. “These cadets pushed themselves, supported each other, and took full advantage of the unique opportunity this academy offers.”
The department expressed gratitude to the parents and guardians who entrusted their children to the program, as well as to key partners that helped make the academy a success, including the Phillipsburg School District, the Firth Youth Center, the New Jersey State Police Bomb Squad, the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office, the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad, the Warren County Department of Public Safety, and the Warren County Tactical Response Team.
“We are proud of you,” police officials told the graduates. “You experienced a small part of what it means to serve, and we hope this week has inspired you—whether to pursue a future in law enforcement or simply to be a leader in your school and community.”
