ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A New York man has been arrested after leading New Jersey State Police on a 18-mile pursuit early Wednesday morning in Morris County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

On Dec. 27, at 1:30 a.m., troopers conducted a motor vehicle stop on a black Nissan Altima for a moving violation on interstate 80 westbound at milepost 43 in Parsippany-Troy Hills, Lebron said.

The driver, who was later identified as Triston Campbell, 32 of Brooklyn, initially pulled over to the right shoulder before fleeing the motor vehicle stop when the trooper was approaching the vehicle, Lebron said.

A pursuit ensued for approximately 18-miles, before the vehicle eventually stopped on Drake Lane in Roxbury Township, Lebron said.

Campbell was arrested and charged with eluding, obstruction, resisting arrest and issued multiple motor vehicle traffic violations, Lebron said.

Campbell was then lodged in Morris County Jail pending a detention hearing, Lebron said.
