Police investigating serious crash on Route 10 in Morris County

UPDATE: Fourth person dies after multi-vehicle crash involving school minivan on Route 10 in Morris County

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Randolph Township Police Department are actively investigating a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 10 West and Millbrook Avenue in Randolph Township, according to Meghan Knab, Public Information Officer for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

The crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m., according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).

Route 10 has reopened in both directions at Millbrook Avenue/County Route 656 following a crash investigation.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash is urged to contact the Randolph Township Police Department at 973-989-7000 or the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit at 973-285-6200.

“This incident is an active, ongoing investigation. No further information is available at this time,” Knab said.

The Randolph Township School District has issued a statement following an accident that occurred on Route 10 at Millbrook Avenue. While details remain limited due to an ongoing investigation, the district expressed its concern and support for all those affected.

“Our thoughts are with all those impacted by these circumstances, and we understand how difficult this is for everyone involved in our community,” the district said.

The district’s crisis response team has been notified and is prepared to assist. Officials emphasized that they are in close communication with local law enforcement as the investigation continues.

Randolph’s primary focus remains on the safety and emotional well-being of its students and staff. Counseling and support resources are being made available to anyone in the school community, including individuals who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
