Police: Morris County liquor store owner charged for selling alcohol to minor, juvenile charged for purchasing alcohol

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Washington Township liquor store owner was charged for  allegedly selling alcohol to minors and a juvenile was charged for allegedly purchasing alcohol, according to police.

Washington Township police detectives, in conjunction with the Attorney General’s Office Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC), on Friday conducted a joint investigation at the Krauser’s Liquor store located at 67 East Mill Road, police said.

This investigation stemmed from complaints by residents that the business was selling alcohol to minors, police said.

As a result of the investigation the store’s owner, whose name was not released, was charged with sale of alcoholic beverages to a minor and a juvenile was also charged in the incident for purchase of alcohol by a minor, police said.

ABC will be continuing an administrative investigation of the business, police said.
