FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Somerset County) – Police are investigating a report of a lewd act Tuesday after a woman said a teenage boy started masturbating in front of her in Franklin Township.
On Sept. 24, police said a 69-year-old woman reported that at around 4:15 p.m., while walking on the towpath north of Route 518, she sat down on a bench next to an unknown teen, police said.
Approximately five minutes later, the victim observed the teen masturbating. The teen then attempted to converse with the victim, but the victim ran away and left the scene without any further interaction from the suspect, police said.
The teen is described as having olive skin with dark brown hair, a beard, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, between 16 and 18-years-old. He was wearing a gray T-shirt and brown sandals.
