Provident Bank awards $63,000 in community partnership grants to New Jersey non-profits

NEW JERSEY – Provident Bank announced Thursday that it has awarded $63,000 in grants to eight New Jersey non-profit organizations through its Community Partnership Program, supporting initiatives focused on economic empowerment, financial literacy, education, housing, and community development in low- and moderate-income communities across the state.

The Community Partnership Program is part of Provident Bank’s ongoing commitment to collaborating with local non-profit organizations to strengthen communities and promote long-term economic prosperity.

“Each of these organizations is creating meaningful impact in their communities, from advancing affordable housing initiatives to expanding access to education and financial resources,” said Roxanne Camejo, Senior Vice President and Community Development Officer at Provident Bank. “Provident is proud to stand alongside them in driving positive change and empowering individuals and families to build stronger, more resilient futures.”

The following organizations received funding through the program:

  • Housing & Community Development Network of New Jersey, which advances economic justice and empowers low-income communities through public policy advocacy.
  • Urban League of Essex County, helping African Americans and disadvantaged residents achieve self-sufficiency through education, housing, and employment programs.
  • Ironbound Community Corporation, which engages and empowers individuals and families to build a thriving community.
  • Housing Partnership, promoting responsible homeownership through education and financial coaching.
  • Central Jersey Housing Resource Center, addressing housing challenges for households in need.
  • NORWESCAP, creating opportunities that improve the lives of low-income individuals and families.
  • Invest Newark, working to propel economic development, build communities, and create opportunities in Newark.
  • New Jersey Community Capital, investing strategically to foster inclusive, sustainable communities.

Combined, these organizations received $63,000 in grants to continue their work supporting families, neighborhoods, and economic opportunity across New Jersey.
