Public invited to vote in USPS Stamp Encore Contest ahead of 250th anniversary

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Postal Service has announced the launch of the Stamp Encore Contest, inviting the public to help commemorate its 250th anniversary — and the nation’s 250th in 2026 — by voting to reprint one of 25 beloved stamp panes from recent decades.

The contest is open now through Sept. 30, with voting available online at stampsforever.com/vote or by mailing in a printed ballot. Participants may vote as many times as they like, and the contest is open to everyone.

To mark the milestone, the Postal Service selected 25 stamp panes representing some of its most popular and best-selling designs, including themed collections featuring Disney, Peanuts, Star Wars, and American history. The winning stamp will be revealed in May 2026 during the Boston 2026 World Expo, aligning with the nation’s Semiquincentennial celebrations.

Until the official announcement, the winning design will remain a closely guarded secret.
