Round Valley wind warning light system is not functioning

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The wind warning light system is currently not working at the Round Valley Boat Ramp in Hunterdon County.

The lights are designed to warn boaters not to launch boats and kayaks on Round Valley Reservoir when wind speeds exceed 25 mph. The reservoir is closed to all boating when wind speed exceeds 25 mph.

Boaters should check weather forecasts to determine current and future windspeeds for their outing.

Operation of the warning light system will be restored as quickly as possible, officials said.
