Schuyler Place to close March 23 for courthouse construction work in Morristown

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Schuyler Place in Morristown will be closed for several hours Monday, March 23, as crews conduct excavation work tied to the Morris County Courthouse project.

The closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. to allow for roadway excavation, sanitary connections and preparation for a water service connection supporting the new courthouse facility.

Officials said businesses along Schuyler Place, including Kirshenbaum Baking Co., will remain open during the work.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during the closure.

Access to the Administration & Records Building parking garage will remain available via Ann Street, where a police officer will be on site to direct traffic onto Schuyler Place.

Access to the Schuyler Place parking garage will continue to be available from Bank Street.

The work is part of ongoing improvements associated with the courthouse project.
