Somerset County player wins $1M on scratch-off ticket

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — A Somerset County lottery player won $1 million last week in the New Jersey Lottery’s 100X Cash Blitz Scratch-Off game, officials announced.

The $20 ticket, which is one of three top prizes in the game, was purchased at Wegmans, located at 724 Route 202 South in Bridgewater. The winning ticket was drawn on June 24.

Another significant win was reported in Monmouth County. A $25 “Loaded $50,000” ticket purchased at Street Corner, 3710 Highway 9 in Freehold, yielded a $50,000 prize on June 22.

Since it began in 1970, the New Jersey Lottery has contributed nearly $33.7 billion to the state, supporting various programs and services. Under a 30-year agreement enacted in 2017, lottery profits currently help fund the public employee pension system.
