‘Spook the House’ contest planned in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Residents in Hackettstown are gearing up for a spooky competition.

“Spook the House,” is a contest sponsored by the Hackettstown Police Department and the Hackettstown Business Improvement District.

The “Spook the House” sections will be Willow Grove, Centenary, West Valley View Ave, Main Street, Mitchell Road, College View, and East Prospect.

Decorations will need to be displayed by Oct. 10 and judging will take place Oct. 16 through Oct. 20 as Hackettstown police officers are patrolling the neighborhoods.

Prizes will be given to the homes which display the most original and spooky outdoor decorations. One winner per section.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music.
