Superintendent accused of trespassing in tenant’s apartment in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – The superintendent of a Denville Township apartment complex was charged after he allegedly trespassed in a tenants apartment, according to police.

A resident of the Pinefield Manor Apartment Complex responded to police headquarters on May 3 to report that upon returning to her apartment the day before, she located a suspicious item inside her residence and suspected that someone may have unlawfully entered her home, police said.

After a police investigation, it was determined that the superintendent of the complex, Gerardo Monroy-Cardemas, 28, of Denville Township, had unlawfully entered her apartment and dropped the item prior to exiting, police said.

Monroy-Cardemas was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
