Sussex County Library System launches February ‘Reading Revolution’ winter reading challenge for all ages
NEWTON, N.J. (Sussex County) — The Sussex County Library System is inviting readers of all ages to take part in its 2026 Winter Reading Challenge, “Reading Revolution,” a monthlong program in February that requires no advance registration.
The challenge runs from Feb. 1 through Feb. 28, 2026. Participants can read or listen to books or magazines, then submit raffle tickets at their local branch from Feb. 2 through Feb. 28 to qualify for prizes, the library system said.
Library officials said the program is open to all ages — from babies to seniors — and is available to Sussex County Library System cardholders.
The library system said there will be one winner in each age group at every Sussex County Library System location.
Adults can qualify for a Winter Reading Bundle that includes an SCLS foldable tote, a campfire mug and a $25 Weis Markets gift card, officials said. Children ages 0-12 and teens ages 13-18 can qualify for an SCLS foldable tote, a campfire mug and a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card, the library system said.
Officials said children will also receive a bonus gift, while supplies last, courtesy of Highlights magazine when they return their first raffle ticket.
Prize winners will be contacted in early March, the library system said. Full details and official rules are available at sussexcountylibrary.org/winter-reading.
