Sussex County man charged with cyber harassment, trespassing, police say

FRANKLIN BOROUGH, N.J. (Sussex County) — A 45-year-old Franklin Borough man has been charged with cyber harassment and trespassing following an investigation into alleged threats against a co-worker, police said.

Kevin J. Conklin was arrested the evening of Feb. 24 by Franklin Borough patrol officers.

Authorities said Conklin returned to a QuickChek location where he had previously been banned and harassed a co-worker both in person and by phone. Police allege he sent threatening messages, including images of the victim’s home and workplace.

Conklin was charged with fourth-degree cyber harassment and defiant trespass, a petty disorderly persons offense.

He was issued a summons and later turned over to the Ogdensburg Police Department for related investigative matters, pending an appearance in Sussex County Superior Court under New Jersey’s bail reform law.
