Thousands attend Hunterdon County Community Day celebrating local organizations, businesses
EAST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) – Thousands of residents gathered at the Hunterdon County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 13, as the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce and the County of Hunterdon hosted the annual Hunterdon County Community Day, showcasing local businesses, nonprofit organizations, government agencies and community resources.
The family-friendly event featured live entertainment, food vendors, educational exhibits and interactive activities designed to connect residents with organizations serving Hunterdon County while highlighting the county’s civic engagement and community partnerships.
Popular attractions included educational presentations by Reptile World, where visitors had an up-close look at reptiles and exotic animals; the Touch-A-Truck exhibit featuring emergency vehicles, public works equipment, construction machinery and specialty vehicles; and a 9-hole miniature golf course provided by WOW Entertainment. Additional games, demonstrations, children’s activities and interactive exhibits were offered throughout the day.
Organizers said the event reflected the collaborative efforts of hundreds of volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors and community partners working together to provide an engaging experience for residents of all ages.
Hunterdon County Commissioner and Board Director John Lanza highlighted the event’s longstanding role in bringing the community together.
“For eleven years, Community Day has provided an opportunity to celebrate the people and organizations that help make Hunterdon County a vibrant and welcoming community,” Lanza said. “It is always encouraging to see so many residents come together to support local businesses, connect with community organizations, and enjoy a day dedicated to showcasing the very best of our county.”
Christopher J. Phelan, president and CEO of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, said the event reflects the county’s collaborative spirit.
“Community Day represents everything that makes Hunterdon County special—our spirit of collaboration, civic pride, volunteerism, and commitment to one another,” said Christopher J. The tremendous turnout and enthusiasm we witnessed throughout the day are a testament to the strength, vitality, and community spirit that make our county such a special place to live and work.”
Phelan also emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to supporting the local community and economy.

Community Day brings together residents, businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies in a way that demonstrates the power of community partnerships and highlights the many resources available to our residents year-round.”
County officials thanked the organizations, exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers, entertainers, first responders and public safety personnel whose contributions helped make the event successful. They also noted the importance of events that promote community engagement while showcasing the businesses, services and organizations that contribute to Hunterdon County’s quality of life.
The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce also expressed its appreciation to the County of Hunterdon and the thousands of residents who attended the annual celebration.
