Toddler flown to hospital after traumatic injury in Morris County

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A toddler was flown to the hospital on Monday evening after suffering a traumatic injury in Washington Township, according to police

On July 3, officers responded to a 911 call for a traumatic injury involving a toddler at a residence in the Schooley’s Mountain section of the township, police said.

Upon arriving Corporal Kevin Barnes applied a tourniquet to the toddler to stop the severe bleeding that he observed, police said.

The toddler was transported by the Long Valley First Aid Squad to a landing zone and then flown to a trauma center, police said.

“Because of the sensitive nature of this incident no further details will be provided at this time,” police said.
