Two Parsippany lottery players win $200,000 each as Powerball jackpot climbs to $1.25B

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — Two New Jersey Lottery players in Parsippany each won $200,000 in Monday night’s Powerball drawing, while another player in Cumberland County won $50,000, lottery officials said.

The two Morris County players matched four white balls, the Power Ball and the Power Play multiplier to claim the $200,000 prizes. The Cumberland County player matched four white balls and the Power Ball to win $50,000.

The winning numbers drawn Monday were 23, 35, 59, 63 and 68. The Power Ball was 2, and the Power Play multiplier was 4.

The $200,000 winning tickets were sold at Wawa #8302, 350 New Road, Parsippany, and at Parsippany Shell, 25 Route 46 East, Parsippany. The $50,000 ticket was sold at Holly City Cold Cuts and Deli, 605 North 10th St., Millville, in Cumberland County.

No ticket matched all six numbers to win the Powerball jackpot, which has now grown to an estimated $1.25 billion heading into Wednesday night’s drawing. The cash value of the jackpot is approximately $572.1 million, making it the sixth-largest jackpot in the game’s history.

In the Double Play drawing, the numbers were 20, 23, 38, 42 and 65, with a Double Play ball of 19. The Double Play is a separate drawing available to players who select the optional feature, with a top prize of $10 million. Officials said 12 players matched four white balls to win $500 each, while 26 players matched three white balls and the Double Play ball to also win $500.

The current jackpot run began after two players in Missouri and Texas split a $1.8 billion jackpot on Sept. 6. Since then, 43 New Jersey Lottery players have won prizes of at least $50,000, including one $2 million winner and five $1 million winners.

The largest Powerball jackpot on record remains the $2.04 billion prize won in California on Nov. 7, 2022.
