Two promotions at Independence Township Police Department

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – The Independence Township Police Department announced the promotion of two officers on Tuesday, April 9.

Sergeant Greg Varina was promoted to Lieutenant and Det. Michael Meistrel was promoted to Sergeant.

“Both of these officers have excelled at every role they have held within this agency,” officials said.

“They have already established themselves as trusted leaders within the department and they look forward to continue to serve the community to the best of their ability,” officials said.
