U.S. Postal Service to observe Presidents Day on Feb. 16
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Postal Service will observe Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 16, with Post Office locations closed nationwide for the federal holiday.
Regular mail delivery and retail services will resume Tuesday, Feb. 17.
While Post Offices will be closed, customers can still access many postal products and services through usps.com and self-service kiosks located in select lobbies across the country.
Self-service kiosks allow customers to print postage for Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express and international shipping; purchase stamps; weigh and mail packages; and track shipments.
As part of ongoing modernization efforts, some locations also offer additional self-service options, including Rapid Dropoff Stations for customers who have already created and printed labels online, the ability to print shipping labels from a merchant-provided QR code and USPS Smart Lockers for package drop-off and pickup.
Many kiosks are available 24/7, providing access to services even when Post Offices are closed.
