UPDATE: Pedestrian struck, killed in Morris County ID’d

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – Authorities identified a man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Morris County Thursday night as a 55-year-old resident of Bloomfield Township, according to Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Public Information Officer Meghan Knab.

Gerard Calcagno was struck by a 2015 Dodge Journey travelling eastbound shortly before 9:50 p.m. near 1429 Route 46 in Parsippany-Troy Hills, Knab said.

Calcagno was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene, Knab said.

The investigation remains ongoing by the Morris County Sheriff’s Office CSI and Parsippany-Troy Hills police, with the assistance of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
