UPDATE: Suspected drunk FedEx driver arrested after crashing truck into utility pole in Hackettstown, police say

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Power has been restored to the more than 800 Jersey Central Power & Light customers in Hackettstown after a FedEx truck crashed into a utility pole Tuesday afternoon. around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The truck crashed into the pole at around 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of Route 46 and Valentine Street.

Route 46 between High Street and West Stiger Street has been reopened, police said.

The Hackettstown Municipal Building, located at 215 West Stiger Street, was opened as a cooling center and charging station until 7:30 p.m.

The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately clear and it’s unknown if anyone was injured.
