Warren County marks 24th anniversary of 9/11 with memorial ceremony

WARREN COUNTY, N.J. – Warren County observed the 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks with a ceremony at the county’s Emergency Services and 9/11 Memorial, where students from Warren County Technical School gathered to honor the victims and first responders.

Commissioner James R. Kern III joined Warren County Fire Academy Training Coordinator Brian Kostenbader in laying a memorial wreath during Thursday’s remembrance.

The memorial, located at 1500 Route 57 between Warren County Technical School and Warren County Community College in Washington Township, is dedicated to county residents who died in the World Trade Center attacks, as well as county police, fire, and EMS personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Officials said the site serves as a public place of reflection to remember those who perished for their courage, sacrifice, and service to others.
