Warren County Prosecutor’s Office launches Safe Place Program for businesses and organizations
WARREN COUNTY, N.J. — The Warren County Prosecutor’s Office is inviting businesses and organizations throughout the county to participate in its new Safe Place Program, an initiative designed to provide victims of bias crimes with safe locations where they can seek help.
The program is a partnership between law enforcement and participating businesses that agree to serve as temporary safe havens for victims following a bias-related incident. Participating locations will provide shelter while victims contact law enforcement or emergency services.
The initiative is offered at no cost to businesses or organizations.
As part of the program, participating locations will receive a free “Safe Place” window decal to display, signaling their commitment to supporting victims of bias crimes and promoting inclusion within the community.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the goal of the initiative is to expand access to safe spaces throughout Warren County while strengthening partnerships between law enforcement and the business community.
Businesses and organizations interested in joining the Safe Place Program or requesting a window decal can learn more by visiting the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office community page at www.wcpo-nj.us/community-page.
