Woman charged after traffic stop in Morris County reveals stolen credit cards, drugs
MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Flanders woman was charged with multiple offenses following a late-night traffic stop in Mount Olive Township, authorities said.
The incident occurred April 30 at about 11:35 p.m. when an officer on routine patrol observed a gray Chevrolet traveling west on Route 46 at a high rate of speed, according to police.
The vehicle was stopped near Hackettstown Honda, where the driver was identified as Lilly K. McBride, 25, police said.
During the stop, the officer observed a hypodermic needle on the passenger seat. McBride was asked to exit the vehicle, and a subsequent search allegedly uncovered multiple stolen credit cards, ripped glassine folds containing suspected narcotic residue and two Trazodone Hydrochloride pills.
McBride was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters.
She was charged with credit card theft, theft of property lost or mislaid, possession of prescription legend drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was later released pending a court hearing.
