Woman charged in Morris County credit card theft investigation

MOUNTAIN LAKES BOROUGH, N.J. (Morris County) — A Hudson County woman was arrested in connection with a stolen credit card investigation in Mountain Lakes Borough, police said.

According to police, an arrest warrant was issued April 14 for Johanna Santa-Arroyave, 43, of West New York, charging her with theft of a credit card and fraudulent use of a credit card.

The charges followed an investigation led by Detective Torres after a victim reported Feb. 26 that their credit card had been stolen and used fraudulently, police said.

Authorities allege Santa-Arroyave stole the victim’s credit card at the victim’s workplace and later used it to purchase merchandise at Walmart.

Police said Santa-Arroyave was arrested April 23 by the Guttenberg Police Department and later turned over to Mountain Lakes police.

She was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility, where she was lodged pending an initial court appearance, authorities said.
