Woman with $5k in warrants arrested in Morris County

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County woman with $5,000 in warrants was arrested Tuesday in Mount Olive Township.

On May 14, at 10:27 a.m., police were at the Baymont by Wyndham, located at 102 Route 46, for an unrelated matter when the officer observed Monika Bassett of Budd Lake outside the front of the hotel and the officers was aware she had warrants for her arrest, authorities said.

A check of Bassett’s credentials showed active warrants for her arrest out of Mount Olive Township for $2,500 and out of Rockaway Borough for $2,500, police said.

Bassett was arrested and unable to post bail. She was then lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility, police said.
