3 arrested on drug possession, other charges in Hunterdon County

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Three Hunterdon County residents are facing drug possession and other charges in Clinton Township, according to Clinton Township Police Chief Thomas A. DeRosa.

Yasir H. Fahmy, 29, of Clinton, Kaitlyn N. Verhoest, 21, of Lebanon, and Omar Vielma-Gonzalez, 26, of Clinton, were arrested last month following a motor vehicle/pedestrian stop on Route 31 South, DeRosa said.

During the traffic stop, Fahmy and Verhoest were allegedly found to be in possession of CDS, CDS paraphernalia, bottles of synthetic urine, and a knife, DeRosa said.

During the nearby pedestrian stop, Vielma-Gonzalez was allegedly found to be in possession of CDS. He was charged with possession of heroin and loitering for the sale or purchase of narcotics and was released, DeRosa said.

Fahmy was charged with possession of heroin, possession of Suboxone, possession of crack cocaine, distribution of CDS, loitering for the sale or purchase of narcotics, possession of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a substance to defraud a drug test, and two motor vehicle summonses, DeRosa said.

Verhoest was charged with possession of heroin, possession of Suboxone, possession of crack cocaine, distribution of CDS, loitering for the sale or purchase of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon, failure to turn over evidence, possession of a substance to defraud a drug test, and a motor vehicle summons, DeRosa said.

Fahmy and Verhoest were transported to the county jail, DeRosa said.
