Hunterdon County man pleads guilty to attempted sexual assault, possession of child sexual assault material
FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Hunterdon County man pled guilty Monday to attempted sexual assault and possession of child sexual assault material, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson.
Daniel E. White, 54, of Flemington pleaded guilty on February 24, before the Honorable Christopher J. Garrenger, J.S.C. to second-degree attempted sexual assault, and third-degree possession of child sexual assault material, Robeson said.
Under the terms of the plea agreement, the State will recommend that White be sentenced to a 10-year state prison term, during which he must serve a minimum of 85% of the sentence imposed pursuant to the No Early Release Act, after which he will be subject to Megan’s Law Registration and Parole Supervision for Life, Robeson said.
White will receive an Avenel Evaluation, a psychosexual assessment performed by a qualified and licensed professional, and will be required to follow recommendations, Robeson said.
On June 20, 2024, Flemington police were dispatched to White’s residence where he disclosed possessing multiple sexual abuse materials, Robeson said.
White is scheduled to be sentenced on June 6, Robeson added.
