Register now for Somerset County Police Youth Week: A unique opportunity for aspiring young leaders interested in law enforcement

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ – Are you a young leader interested in learning more about law enforcement? Register for this year’s Somerset County Police Youth Week.

Somerset County Police Youth Week is designed to acquaint high school students with the diverse career paths within law enforcement while fostering positive relationships between students and professionals in the field. Through engaging activities, the program aims to develop teamwork, self-confidence, and communication skills, while providing participants with firsthand experience in police work.

The program is comprised of instructor-based training, as well as hands-on exercises and practical-based scenarios. Throughout the week, students will engage in physical and mental challenges that will test their teamwork and problem-solving abilities. Students will participate in military drills, physical training, defensive tactics, and mock motor vehicle stops to name just a few. The core mission of the program is to strengthen the relationships between police and the community while motivating students to become positive role models in their communities.

Police Youth Week is open to Somerset County High School students between the ages of 14 and 18 years old. The program is ideal for youth interested in pursuing a future career in law enforcement. Somerset County Police Youth Week is sponsored by the Somerset County Association of Chiefs of Police.
