Consumer product recalls include toys, baby swings, bed rails, wine sold at Costco, and Peloton bikes
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced multiple product recalls this week, warning consumers of serious safety hazards — including risks of choking, suffocation, entrapment, burns, laceration, and even death. The recalls affect more than two million items sold online and in stores nationwide.
Among the recalled products are plush toys, infant swings, bed rails, nightgowns, bicycle pumps, ethanol fuel containers, and Peloton’s popular exercise bikes. The CPSC is urging consumers to stop using all affected products immediately and follow each manufacturer’s recall instructions for refunds, repairs, or replacements.
Hazard: The recalled toys are intended for children under three years of age and the eyes can detach, which violates the small parts ban, posing a choking hazard to children.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled plush toys and contact Inkari for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to cut the fur of the toy and send a photo to support@inkari-alpaca.com.
Units: About 64,000
Hazard: The swings were marketed for infant sleep and have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees, violating the mandatory safety standard for Infant Sleep Products and the ban on inclined sleepers under the Safe Sleep for Babies Act, posing a deadly suffocation risk.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the swings and contact Sanven Technology for a full refund. Consumers should remove the swing cover and cut it in half and send a photo of the destroyed cover with “Recalled” written with permanent marker on the swing’s base to recalling@vevor.com and then dispose of the swing in accordance with local and state laws.
Units: About 1,020
Hazard: The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for children’s portable bed rails because when installed adjacent to the bed, the child can become entrapped in the enclosed openings, the openings on the side of the mattress, and the openings on top of the mattress, posing a risk of serious injury or death due to entrapment.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bed rails and contact WYBITNY for a full refund. Consumers should send a photo of the recalled bed rails, with “Recalled” written on the front in permanent marker, to WYBITNY by email at servicewybitny@outlook.com. Consumers should dispose of the recalled bed rails in accordance with state and local waste disposal procedures.
Units: About 120
Hazard: The recalled nightgowns violate the mandatory flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the nightgowns immediately and contact Umeyda Company for a full refund. Consumers should cut the nightgowns in half and email a photo of the destroyed garments to ameyda123@163.com to receive the refund. Consumers should dispose of the destroyed garments.
Units: About 200
Hazard: The recalled fuel containers violate the mandatory safety standards for portable fuel containers because they lack flame mitigation devices required under the Portable Fuel Container Safety Act, posing a deadly risk of flash fire.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled fireplace fuel immediately, place them out of reach of children, and contact Astemrey to receive free replacement container of fuel. To participate, consumers should clearly mark the product container with “DO NOT USE,” the Amazon order number, then take a photo showing the entire product with the markings visible and email it to contact@astemrey.com for verification to receive the replacement. Once Astemrey verifies your request for replacement, properly dispose of the original bottle and contents. Only products manufactured and sold after January 12, 2025, are included in this recall.
Note: Consumers should follow local household hazardous waste (HHW) guidance for flammable liquids. Contact your city, county, or state HHW program for instructions, as requirements may differ by location. Safe approach: Keep the product in its container, clearly label it ‘Do Not Use,’ and bring it to a local HHW drop-off.
Do not pour fuel into drains. Do not place fuel in household trash.
Because requirements may vary by state, county, or city, consumers should always follow the disposal instructions provided by their local HHW program.

Hazard: The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. When the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. In addition, the bed rails do not have the required warning labels.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled adult portable bed rails and contact Neaude for a full refund. Consumers should write “RECALLED” on the upper and lower rails with permanent marker, write “Bought on or after August 21, 2023” on a piece of paper, take a photo of this alongside the marked bed rails and email the photo to ruiye1234@outlook.com. Consumers should then dispose of the recalled product in accordance with state and local waste disposal procedures.

Hazard: The recalled infant bath tubs violate the mandatory standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries because the built-in thermometer contains button cell batteries that can be accessed easily by children. Hazard: The aftermarket mattresses violate the mandatory standard for crib mattresses, as the mattresses may not adequately fit certain play yards or non-full-sized cribs, posing a deadly entrapment hazard. Babies can suffocate in gaps between an undersized mattress, or extra padding, and side walls of a product, especially when the infant’s face becomes trapped against the side and the mattress, preventing the infant from breathing. The non-full-sized crib mattress also fails to meet the mandatory standard for mattress set flammability.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the crib mattresses and contact Criblike for instructions on requesting a full refund. Consumers should destroy the mattresses by cutting them in half, take a photo of the destroyed mattress and email the photo to Criblike-service_2025@outlook.com with “Recall Proof” and your name in the subject line.
