Mosquito spraying planned for June 17 in Jefferson

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — The Morris County Mosquito Commission has scheduled mosquito control treatments in Jefferson Township on Wednesday night due to an increase in adult mosquito populations.

Weather permitting, mosquito spraying will take place June 17 between 9 p.m. and midnight along Weldon Road in the Camp Jefferson area.

The treatments will be conducted using a truck-mounted sprayer. The commission said applicators may use Anvil 2+2, containing the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, containing the active ingredient etofenprox.
