Lane closure scheduled on I-78 West near toll bridge Monday and Tuesday

Motorists traveling westbound on Interstate 78 near the Pennsylvania state line should expect a daytime lane closure Monday and Tuesday as crews conduct surveying work for a future all-electronic tolling system.

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission said one of three westbound lanes on the Pennsylvania side of the I-78 Toll Bridge will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 13, and Tuesday, July 14.

The lane closure is needed to allow surveying in the area where a future open-road, all-electronic tolling gantry is planned.

Drivers are urged to reduce speeds and use caution while traveling through the work zone.

Officials said travel delays are not anticipated, but the schedule is subject to change due to weather, emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.
