Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital earns first U.S. News Best Children’s Hospitals recognition
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital has been named to U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals list for the first time, earning regional recognition and national rankings in two pediatric specialties for 2026-27.
The Morristown hospital ranked No. 3 in New Jersey and No. 13 in the Mid-Atlantic region, which includes New Jersey, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
Goryeb Children’s Hospital also ranked No. 46 nationally in both neonatology and pediatric diabetes and endocrinology.

For its 2026-27 rankings, U.S. News worked with RTI International, a North Carolina-based research firm, to collect and analyze data from 114 children’s hospitals and survey thousands of pediatric specialists.
According to U.S. News, hospitals receiving a Best Children’s Hospital designation were evaluated on factors including clinical outcomes, compliance with established best practices and the level and quality of hospital resources directly related to patient care.
