Aerial larvicide operation to take place on Aug. 12 in parts of Morris County

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – Weather permitting, the Morris County Division of Mosquito Control will be conducting an aerial Larvicide operation on Monday, August 12, weather permitting, with a time to be determined, officials said.

The operation will be in conducted in cooperation with the State Mosquito Commission and the New Jersey Office of Mosquito Control Coordination.

The helicopter will be in the following towns:

  • Chatham Borough
  • Chatham Township
  • East Hanover Township
  • Florham Park Borough
  • Hanover Township,
  • Lincoln Park Borough
  • Montville Township
  • Parsippany-Troy Hills

The commission will be using the product VectoPrime FG,  EPA Registration # 73049-501 and will be treating mosquito habitat of the water-borne stage of mosquito (larvae) before they become flying adults.
