Authorities seek suspect in fatal Morristown hit-and-run, reward offered
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Authorities are continuing to search for a Morristown man charged in a fatal hit-and-run crash last month and are asking for the public’s help in locating him.
Wilson “Adrian” Morocho-Necta, 33, remains at large in connection with the March 20 incident, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and a notice released by Morris County Crimestoppers.
Police, fire and EMS responded around 6:53 a.m. to the intersection of Sussex Avenue and Speedwell Place for a report of a person pinned under a truck. The victim was taken to Morristown Medical Center, where they were later pronounced dead.
Authorities said the driver fled the scene on foot.
An investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Morristown Police Department and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office identified Morocho-Necta as the alleged driver. He has been charged with second-degree leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and third-degree endangering an injured victim.
Officials said an arrest warrant has been issued and the search for Morocho-Necta is ongoing. Authorities noted he is commonly known as “Adrian.”
The crash occurred in the early morning hours in the area of Sussex Avenue and Speedwell Place, officials said.
