Barking dog complaint leads to animal neglect charge for Warren County woman

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A barking dog complaint has led to an animal neglect charge for a Warren County woman, police said Tuesday.

On Sept. 9, police charged a 40-year-old woman from Washington, NJ, for failure to provide care to a living animal.

The incident occurred on Aug. 22, when officers responded to a report of a barking dog at a residence in the 20 block of Port Colden Road in Washington Township, police said.

Upon arrival, the investigating officer found conditions that led to the charge against the woman, whose name has not been released. Following the investigation, she was issued a summons by mail, which includes a mandatory court appearance, police said
