Commissioners donate books at ‘Friends of Hunterdon County Library’ 2024 book drive

“No Donation Is Too Large Or Small”

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Hunterdon County Commissioner Director Jeff Kuhl and Deputy Director Susan Soloway on Saturday attended the 2024 Friends of Hunterdon County Library (FOHCL) book drive.

The last collection day for the book drive is Saturday, April 13th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the South County Park Fairgrounds section, located at 1207 Route 179, in Lambertville.

“The Friends of Hunterdon County Library, are a wonderful asset to our community. Their hard work and organization of the annual book drive proves to be a success every year, with this year being no exception. Donating books is a great way to support the library and its programs,” Kuhl said.

The book drive aims to collect gently used books and additional items like, audiobooks on CD, DVDs, music CDs, video games, puzzles, and sheet music.

Additional drop-off locations include the Headquarters Library at 314 State Route 12, in Flemington, for the week of April 8th-11th, during normal business hours. No donations will be accepted after April 13th, when the book drive closes.

“The annual library book drive is a sustainable way to recycle and reuse books that are no longer needed. Thank you to the Friends of the Hunterdon County Library for all their continued commitment and dedication to making sure this event happens, which helps to support a number of library programs,” Soloway said.

All collected items will be sold at the Annual Book Sale scheduled for the weekend of April 20th ~ 22nd.

A Preview Sale date is scheduled for Friday, April 19 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Grange Building, South County Park Fairgrounds, in Lambertville. All proceeds from the book sale will benefit programs and services of the Hunterdon County Library.
