County College of Morris Senior Vice President Patrick Enright recognized as a 2025 S.H.I.N.E. Educator of the Year

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County)County College of Morris (CCM) is proud to announce that Patrick Enright, Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, Workforce Development, and Student Success, has been recognized as a 2025 S.H.I.N.E. (Serves, Helps, Inspires, Nurtures, and Excels) Educator of the Year Award recipient by Child & Family Resources.

Enright received the award in the higher education category at the annual S.H.I.N.E. Gala on the evening of Thursday, March 13, held at The Mansion in Mountain Lakes.

At this year’s Gala, Enright was one of four professionals honored as Educator of the Year. The award acknowledges educators who exemplify the spirit of Child & Family Resources’ mission and values, and whose professional practices and advocacy for the profession are deemed exemplary.

Established in 1972, the mission of Child & Family Resources is to support the development of children by delivering high-quality, responsive, and dynamic professional development to enhance the lifelong learning of families, childcare professionals, and the community.

“On behalf of the entire County College of Morris community, I would like to congratulate Senior Vice President Enright on receiving the 2025 S.H.I.N.E. Educator of the Year Award,” said Dr. Anthony J. Iacono, president of CCM. “Patrick’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, workforce development, and the success of our students has a profound impact on our institution. His leadership and dedication inspire those around him every day, and this recognition is a testament to his extraordinary contributions. We are incredibly fortunate to have Patrick as a leader at CCM, and we celebrate this well-deserved honor with him.”

Enright has 38 years of experience working in higher education. He has been in his current role at CCM since 2021 and has held several other positions at the college, including Vice President for Professional Studies and Applied Sciences, Associate Vice President for Workforce Development, and Dean of the School of Business, Mathematics, Engineering, and Technologies.

Educator of the Year Award,” said Patrick Enright, Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, Workforce Development, and Student Success at CCM. “This recognition is not just a reflection of my work but of the incredible dedication of my colleagues, students, and the entire CCM community. It is through collaboration and a shared commitment to excellence that we can continue to inspire and empower students to reach their fullest potential. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the success of so many individuals, and I look forward to continuing to serve and support our community.”

Before joining CCM, Enright served as Dean of the Mathematics and Technology Division at Pikes Peak Community College and as Dean of the Health, Math, Science, and Engineering Division at Arapahoe Community College, both in Colorado. He began his career in higher education as a faculty member at Arapahoe, teaching mathematics. Enright earned an M.A. degree from the University of Colorado Denver and a B.A. from Columbia College, Columbia University.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
