Filming of TV Series ‘Before’ to cause possible traffic delays Monday and Tuesday in Independence Township

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – On Monday, March 4 and Tuesday, March 5 Paramount Pictures will be filming scenes for its upcoming series Before on and around Route 46 in Independence Township, according to Paramount Pictures.

In order to facilitate filming on Monday, we will be conducting intermittent traffic control (ITC) on Route 46 between Water Street and Cemetery Road. This ITC will be in effect from approximately 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. There will also be intermittent delays during those hours on Alphano Road in the area of Nykun Lane and Youngs Island Road.

The RDJ Service Center, located at 275 Route 46, will be closed during the traffic control.

“We will have the Independence Police Department on hand to assist with the traffic control on the day. Our production will make every effort to minimize our impact on the neighborhood and to accommodate residents, businesses, and schools while filming,” the company said.

A representative of the Location Department will be on set at all times to ensure that filming goes smoothly. Paramount Pictures is working closely and with the full cooperation of Independence Town Hall and the Independence Police Department.

“Your cooperation will help make our shoot a success, and help support the employment of the thousands of New York and New Jersey residents who make their living in the Tri State entertainment industry,” the company said.

Before is a 10-episode atmospheric, character-driven psychological thriller about Eli (Billy Crystal), a child psychiatrist who, after recently losing his wife, Lynn (Judith Light), encounters a troubled young boy who seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s past, according to Deadline.

Deadline describes the series as: ” a 10-episode atmospheric, character-driven psychological thriller about Eli (Crystal), a child psychiatrist who, after recently losing his wife, Lynn (Light), encounters a troubled young boy who seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s past.” Crystal’s character digs in to Light’s own past and finds that perhaps her death was not what it seemed.
