Firefighters extinguish tractor-trailer fire on I-80 in Warren County

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Firefighters extinguish a tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 80 in Warren County early Tuesday morning, according to the Knowlton Township Fire Company.

The fire was reported at around 3:25 a.m. on Interstate 80 eastbound at mile marker 5.4 in Knowlton Township.

Fire crews on scene found a rear axle fire with extension onto the floor. Units extinguished the fire and the scene was turned over to the tow company.

All lanes have been reopened.
