Hackettstown Police warn of possible door-to-door scam

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The Hackettstown Police Department is warning citizens about a possible door-to-door scam.

According to the department, they have been informed about a couple incidents in town over recent days where two men knocked on residents’ doors, asking to see electric bills and how they can save you money on your bill.

The department said make sure you ask any person knocking on your door for their Hackettstown solicitors permit.
