Hackettstown to open cooling center Tuesday-Thursday amid high temps

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Hackettstown will be opening a cooling center on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday amid high temps.

The Hackettstown Municipal Building, located at 215 West Stiger Street, will be utilized as a cooling center Tuesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, June 19 the Miller Street Firehouse, located at 101 Miller Street, will be utilized as a cooling center from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Hours and dates are subject to change if necessary, officials said.

The cooling center is for any Town of Hackettstown resident that may lose power or doesn’t have an air conditioning unit. If any resident loses power, the Municipal Building and the Miller Street Firehouse will also be utilized as a charging station for cell phones, computers, etc.
