Hunterdon County Commissioners enjoy ‘Scenes Of Hunterdon’ art exhibit at Historic Courthouse

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The Hunterdon County Commissioner Board viewed the ‘Scenes of Hunterdon’ art exhibit on Tuesday, presented by ArtVenture. The exhibit is currently on display at the Historic Courthouse through January 10, 2025.

The exhibit is a celebration of local artistic talent, showcasing a variety of artwork that captures the beauty and essence of Hunterdon County.

Numerous artists were on hand to meet with the Commissioners, providing a unique opportunity for the Board to engage directly with the creators of the pieces on display. The artists shared insights into their work, inspirations, and the creative process behind their contributions to the exhibit.

“We are happy to support and celebrate the incredible talent of our local artists. It was wonderful to meet the artists and learn more about their work. The ‘Scenes of Hunterdon’ display is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of our county and the vibrant arts community that thrives here. The recently renovated courthouse is a fitting and picturesque setting for the display,” Director Jeff Kuhl said.

ArtVenture is a non-profit organization composed of painters, photographers, and mixed media art based in the Flemington area that strives to inspire, showcase, and promote fine art and art education, in service to the artist and to the community.

The ArtVenture organization was formed in early 2019, after a small group of artists and art enthusiasts met at the Flemington Free Public Library through participation in the Art in the Garden Summer Series.

“Art has the power to bring people together and reflect the unique character of our community. This exhibit not only highlights the beauty of Hunterdon County but also the creativity and dedication of its residents. I want to thank the artists and organizers for ‘Scenes of Hunterdon’, and I encourage residents to visit the exhibit before it is gone on January 10th,” Deputy Director Susan Soloway said.
