Hunterdon County Community Day returns June 14 with games, food, and family fun

RINGOES, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce announced the 10th Annual Hunterdon County Community Day will take place Saturday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the South County Park Fairgrounds, 1207 Route 179 in Ringoes.

Since its founding in 2014, Community Day has grown into a celebration of Hunterdon County’s towns, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and residents. The event attracts hundreds of attendees annually and features family-friendly activities, food vendors, and live entertainment.

“Hunterdon County Community Day has truly become a place where we can showcase and celebrate all the great towns, organizations, non-profits, the business community and great resources of Hunterdon County,” said Chris Phelan, president of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce.

This year’s festivities will include:

  • A 9-hole miniature golf course
  • Petting zoo and pony rides (for a nominal fee)
  • Reptile show by Michael Schwedick of Reptile World in Maryland
  • Touch-a-truck experience
  • Fire and rescue squad vehicles and demonstrations
  • Children’s games and interactive activities
  • Live performances by the Whitehouse Wind Symphony, Marshall’s Dixie Land Band, and the Hunterdon Flutterwheels
  • Dan “Dr. D” Torrone returning as Master of Ceremonies

Admission is free, with a nominal donation for parking that will benefit the Leadership Hunterdon Program.

The event is presented by the County of Hunterdon and Hunterdon Health, with additional support from WOW Entertainment Inc., Schaible’s Plumbing & Heating, ShopRite of Hunterdon County, Prevention Resources Inc., Somerset Regal Bank, and media sponsor TapInto Flemington-Raritan.

The Chamber also extended thanks to various county departments and first responder organizations for their support in making the event possible.
