Here are the product recalls New Jerseyans should know about this week:

Procter & Gamble Recalls 8.2 Million Defective Bags of Tide, Gain, Ace and Ariel Laundry Detergent Packets Distributed in US Due to Risk of Serious Injury

Hazard: The outer packaging meant to prevent access to the contents can split open near the zipper track, posing a risk of serious injury to children and other vulnerable populations if the contents of the laundry detergent packets are ingested, as well as posing a risk of skin or eye injuries. Ingestion of a large quantity of any surfactant-containing household cleaning products can cause death among individuals with underlying health issues.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately secure the recalled bags out of sight and reach of children and contact  Procter & Gamble for a full refund and a free replacement child-resistant bag to store the product. Consumers can also receive a cabinet lock for securing laundry materials.

Consumers should check to see if their bag is part of the recall by checking the lot code on their bag.  Recalled lot codes will be listed at pg.com/bags and are found on the bottom of the package.  Consumers with recalled bags can submit a photo of the recalled product, showing the lot code to participate in the recall.

Johnson Health Tech North America Expands Recall of Matrix T1 and T3 Commercial Treadmills Due to Fire Hazard

Hazard: The power cord can become loose from the treadmill’s power socket, posing a fire hazard.

Remedy: Exercise facilities should inspect their treadmills to confirm whether they have a power cord bracket installed on the unit. If the bracket is not already installed, facilities should ensure that the power cord is completely inserted into the power socket on the treadmills prior to each use, until repaired. Contact Johnson Health Tech North America to schedule a free installation of a power cord bracket or to order a power cord bracket for self-installation. Johnson Health Tech North America is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Zipline Kits Recalled Due to Fall Hazard; Sold Exclusively on Amazon.com by Jugader

Hazard: The zipline’s stainless-steel cable can break, posing a fall hazard.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled zipline kits and contact Jugader for a free repair kit. Consumers must submit a photo of the cable and the trolley or their online purchase order number to receive a free repair kit, including a new cable and updated installation instructions.

Innovative Bedding Solutions and SBL Recall GhostBed Natural Mattresses Due to Fire Hazard; Violation of Federal Mattress Flammability Regulation

Hazard: The mattresses violate the smoldering ignition requirements of the federal mattress flammability regulation, posing a fire hazard.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the mattress, and contact GhostBed to receive a free cover to put on the mattress to bring it into compliance with the federal regulation. GhostBed is contacting all known purchasers directly.

 Intimidator Recalls Intimidator and Mahindra Utility Vehicles (UTVs) Due to Crash Hazard

Hazard: The universal joint can fail and pierce and sever the brake line, posing a crash hazard.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled utility vehicles and contact an Intimidator or Mahindra authorized dealer to schedule a free repair.

Delta Cycle Recalls Bicycle Stem Raisers Due to Fall Hazard

Hazard: The Stem Raiser can shift during use, causing the bicycle’s handlebar to shift unexpectantly, posing a fall hazard.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled stem raisers, and contact Delta Cycle to schedule a free repair at an independent bicycle dealer.

Units: About 500,000 (In addition, about 8,510 were sold in Canada)

Red Land Cotton Recalls Quilts and Shams Due to Laceration Hazard

Hazard: Pieces of broken needles were found inside some quilts and quilted shams, posing a laceration hazard.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled quilts and quilt shams and visit www.redlandcotton.com/pages/voluntary-quilt-recall for instructions on how to participate in the recall. Red Land Cotton will be offering a replacement product (of the same value) or a refund in the form of a store credit or a refund check. Consumers will be asked to provide proof of purchase, in the way of photos of the recalled products, a purchase receipt, or other form of payment documentation. Red Land Cotton is notifying all known consumers who purchased the recalled products.

Touchat Area Rugs Recalled Due to Fire Hazard; Violation of Federal Flammability Regulations; Sold Exclusively on Amazon.com by Touchat

Hazard: The recalled area rugs violate the mandatory federal flammability regulations for carpets and rugs, posing a fire hazard.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled rugs immediately and contact Touchat for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to destroy the product by cutting it in half, and to provide proof of destruction by sending a photo of the cut product to jurysun@outlook.com to receive a full refund. Touchat is contacting all known purchasers directly.

BRS Liquid Fuel Bottles Recalled Due to Risk of Poisoning and Burn Hazard; Violation of the Children’s Gasoline Burn Prevention Act; Sold Exclusively on Amazon.com by Huenco

Hazard: The portable fuel bottles do not meet the child-resistant requirements for closures under the Children’s Gasoline Burn Prevention Act (CGBPA). The closure for the products is not child-resistant, posing a risk of burn and poisoning to children.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fuel bottles, place them out of reach of children, and contact Huenco for instructions on how to dispose of the product to receive a full refund.

Fischer Sports Recalls Junior Ski Boots Due to Fall Hazard

Hazard: The ski boot cuff can rotate, causing the lock mechanism to malfunction, posing a fall hazard and risk of injury to the consumer.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled RC4 Junior Ski Boots and contact Fischer Sports for instructions on how to receive a refund, a free replacement, or a free repair.

Yoto Recalls Yoto Mini Speakers for Children Due to Burn and Fire Hazards

Hazard: The speaker’s lithium-ion battery can overheat and catch fire, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled speakers, take them away from children, and contact Yoto to receive a free replacement smart charging cable. Consumers can send a photograph of the old cable cut through the middle to receive a new replacement cord.
