LEGOLAND® Discovery Center New Jersey’s expansion now set for grand opening on June 28

Merlin Entertainments' Attraction Opening Five New Zones

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (Bergen County) – LEGOLAND® Discovery Center New Jersey is expanding by 30% with five new zones and will be the largest North American expansion of a LEGOLAND Discovery Center.

To ensure a bricktastic experience for guests, the grand opening ceremony will take place on Friday, June 28 at 9:00 a.m. Starting June 29, the new areas will be open to the public so guests can build, play, explore and ride in the ultimate LEGO® playground!

The new zones continue to build upon the family-friendly attraction including areas for everyone to enjoy. From Build Adventures, where LEGO cars can be built to jump over a crocodile or drive through a giant pyramid, to DUPLO® Park, where even the littlest builders can build and play like never before; guests are sure to be amazed by these new permanent experiences.

“We are thrilled to bring more bricktastic fun to families with the largest expansion ever at a LEGOLAND Discovery Center attraction,” said LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey General Manager Michael Taylor. “The new zones will create even more memorable moments of play, creativity, and togetherness for kids of all ages and abilities, and we cannot wait to unveil it all this summer.”

New Zones at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center New Jersey:

Hero Zone

Calling all heroes! Guests can unleash their superpowers in this LEGO® City themed area. Test reflexes in the new timed laser maze to try to beat the day’s best score and challenge family and friends.

Take a journey to the play area and join a bank heist in LEGO City to tackle unique activities.  

Build Adventures

Jump over a crocodile in the jungle, loop over lava and drive through a giant pyramid in the desert as guests put building skills to the test by creating a LEGO car to take on epic challenges.

Challenge friends and family to a race and ask Playmakers for their tips and tricks to build a super-fast car!

Tree of Imagination

The Tree of Imagination is a floor to ceiling LEGO® creation guests will have to see to believe, thanks to its array of colors! Guests can add their own color LEGO bricks to the tree too and they can take a closer look to see a miniature magical world!

Gather around this tree to take part in various building challenges suggested by the Playmakers and the Master Model Builder.

DUPLO® Park

DUPLO® Park is for the youngest LEGO fans and filled with activities and interactive areas allowing little ones to learn while having fun with their families.

Take part in DUPLO duck fishing and spin the construction challenge wheel! Enjoy the DUPLO slide and various build tables to create unforgettable moments!

Creative Club

Get inspired to build in the Creative Club as imaginations run wild in this new zone. Enjoy various activities led by Playmakers who can help guests build dream LEGO creations. Plus, show off creations for all to see in LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey or be inspired by the best builds of the day to see what can be build next.
