Long Hill Township Police Department gearing up for 100th anniversary

LONG HILL TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – The Long Hill Township Police Department has announced its 100th anniversary, commemorating a century of dedication and commitment to the community.

Established in 1924, the Long Hill Township Police Department has stood as a pillar of courage, integrity, and community partnership, serving the residents of Long Hill Township with unwavering commitment.

For the past century, the Long Hill Township Police Department has upheld its mission to protect and serve, fostering a safer and stronger community through professionalism, compassion, and dedication to duty. This remarkable milestone honors the dedication and sacrifice of generations of officers who have proudly worn the badge, as well as the enduring support of the community they serve.

To celebrate this historic occasion, the Long Hill Township Police 100th Anniversary Committee has initiated plans for a series of events culminating in a grand celebration on Oct. 5.

The festivities will include commemorative dinner, a police procession down Main Avenue and Valley Road, concluding with a very special community-wide celebration at Matthew Kantor Park, where residents, current and former officers, local dignitaries, and esteemed guests will come together to honor the department’s century of service and commemorate the bonds that unite the community.

“We are incredibly proud to mark this momentous occasion in the history of the Long Hill Township Police Department,” said Lt. Marczewski. “For 100 years, our department has been dedicated to serving the community, and we are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of the Long Hill Township residents. We invite all residents to join us as we celebrate this milestone and look forward.
