Man charged with DUI, assault by auto in crash that injured motorcyclist in Hunterdon County

FLEMINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Middlesex County man was charged after a crash on September 25 that left a motorcyclist injured in Flemington Borough, according to police.

On September 25, at around 12:36 a.m., an officer was in the area of the Route 202/31 circle when the officer observed a vehicle strike a motorcycle, police said.

The motorcyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital, police said.

The driver, who was identified as Christopher Grohens, 33, of Spotswood, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, following too closely, and assault by auto. He was later released to a responsible person pending a court appearance, police said.
