WHITE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A man was seriously injured Monday afternoon after a crash involving a car and an electric bike, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Philip Curry.

The crash occurred at 1:13 p.m. on County Route 519 at milepost 38.5 in White Township, Curry said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Hyundai was traveling north on County Route 519 and an Aventon e-bike, operated by Adam Choudhry, 31, of Blairstown Township, was traveling in the right shoulder of the roadway ahead of the Hyundai, Curry said.

Then in the area of milepost 38.5, the e-bike turned left in front of the Hyundai and the left of the Aventon struck the front right side of the Hyundai, which resulted in the e-bike overturning and ejecting Choudhry, Curry said.

Choudhry suffered serious injuries, Curry said.

County Route 519 was closed for approximately 2 hours resulting in moderate traffic congestion, Curry said.

The crash remains under investigation, Curry said.
